Call for Volunteers

Happy New Year everyone!

Our u3a needs a continual flow of volunteers and would struggle to carry on without it. In order to survive and thrive we need an enthusiastic committee with the skills to make it effective and efficient to run. In April we have a number of members that will come to the end of their 3-year term on the Chichester u3a committee.

In addition to being part of a friendly and supportive committee, there are lots of potential benefits to being a committee member. These include working with others to achieve a shared goal; developing new skills; making and deepening friendships; a sense of achievement; and, of course, enjoyment and having fun.

The committee meets once a month, 10.00-12.00, at The Old Court Room, North Street, Chichester followed by a friendly gathering and beverage in the The Old Cross pub.

For more details please CONTACT US HERE.

Treasurer Required

Under the terms of the constitution the current treasurer has to step down in May at the end of his 3 year tenure. We are seeking a volunteer to fill the role from May. Very basic IT literacy and a basic understanding of receipts and payments bookwork would be an advantage but full training and support would be given. If you feel able to support your U3A in this role please contact the Treasurer HERE for an initial discussion.

Proposed new Dining Group

Do you enjoy dining in good company?

As the current dining groups are all fully subscribed, we would like to gauge interest in a new one. Meals, (dinner, lunch or afternoon tea) would be arranged once a month at local restaurants with the aim of sampling good food whilst relaxing in good company, and sharing and exchanging ideas and life experiences.

Venues, dates and times will be discussed and agreed by group members with each member paying for their own food and drinks. If you are interested, please let us know by contacting the Groups Team.
