In 2019, Leonardslee opened its doors after a closure of nine years, this magnificent Grade I listed garden was nearly lost forever and has been the subject of the largest garden restoration in England and possibly Europe. With over 240 acres, it consists of lakes, woodland areas and the 
famous Rock Garden.
A trip to Leonardslee has been arranged for Thursday 17th August 2023. The coach, which seats 25 people, will leave from outside the Cathedral at 10:00 and return at 16:00 from Leonardslee. The journey takes approximately 1 hour. The price of the coach will be £20 per person, payable at the time of booking. Entrance to the Gardens is £12.50 (Group Discount price) payable on the day, by Card as the Gardens are completely cashless, including the café.
Booking opens on Friday 14th July and closes on Friday 4th August. If you book a ticket then you are committed to the payment. Payment should be made by Friday 4 August. We accept payment by bank transfer. Please use the PAY U3A page in the members section of our website to provide you with a reference to make a bank transfer. The payment is for a “Social event or Trip” and you should choose “Trip to Leonardslee Gardens” from the drop down list.
