Members of Social Teams 1 and 2 enjoyed a wonderful activity week in May at Aqua Ventura Pedralva, in Portugal’s beautiful Algarve region.  Blessed with excellent weather and stunning surroundings, the group made the most of a varied programme of activities, combining relaxation, exercise and good company. There are vacancies for this class, which is held weekly (Wednesday 1.55-2.40) at the Westgate Leisure Centre. The class is designed for our age a group, and is led by Melissa, a skilled trainer, and is held in an air conditioned studio!  Melissa demonstrates a variety of exercises, mainly using hand held dumbbells. Our fortnightly dog walks are not just exercise — they’re a source of great companionship. This year our Members Summer Tea will be held at Oaklands Pavilion.
All members welcome, so come along and enjoy tasty food and good company at this great venue, at the same time showing support for a local business. There will be tea/ coffee available afterwards and the bar will be open to enjoy a drink on the large open balcony overlooking Oaklands Park. 

Initial details of this year’s Summer School have now been released. It will take place 7th – 10th Sept at Chichester University and all u3a members are invited to attend.
