More about this group …

This U3A bridge group is one of the oldest bridge groups in Chichester and after many years is still continuing to thrive. One reason is that it has a very friendly atmosphere. Another is its location with easy free parking and a light, warm but airy room with good facilities. It also operates 51 weeks of the year, meeting up every Wednesday afternoon. One of our players recently said:

We favour a friendly atmosphere to the more formal and competitive approach of some other clubs. We play standard card English Acol, Chicago style so everyone who turns up gets to play.

On-Line Bridge is also available to those members unable to attend the village hall. If you are a U3A member and would like to take up this opportunity, please do get in touch.

Using Bridge Base Online (BBO), John Harris organises the weekly games on Wednesday and extra games on other days by email. Once you have an account for this program it is easy to use as all you do is click on the link you are sent. It has the advantage of built-in audio and visual links so you can virtually play as normal.

Vacancies: We currently have vacancies for table play at the hall. Anyone who is past the beginner stage is welcome to just turn up for a trial session. All you need is a current U3A membership and the ability to play without basic instruction.
