Huge thanks and appreciation to Desbina Antoniou who has just retired as our Quizmaster
For many months Desbina has been Quizmaster at our monthly Zoom Quizzes, which have been enjoyed by all attendees. Not only did she set thought-provoking questions but she also ran the quiz and dealt with her occasionally overenthusiastic audience with good humour and fairness. She has now decided to take a well-deserved break until we are able to meet again in person to continue our quizzing with a nice pub meal.
We are always looking for volunteers to find things to keep us amused and to exercise our brains with a new social event or activity and to this end we give a warm welcome to Nigel Miller who has quickly stepped up to the challenge and who will be our new Quizmaster at 7.30 pm on the third Tuesday of every month – except in May, when the Quiz will be held on Tuesday 11th May.
Nigel will continue with a similar format of 5 rounds of 10 questions, occasionally including a picture round. If you would like to participate, please contact Nigel here and he will email confirmation of your booking, which will be taken on a first come first served basis. He will admit you from the Zoom waiting room in time for a prompt 7.30pm start.
