Programme for 2019-2020          Disclaimer          Contact Group Leader

Walkers enjoy a break at Langstone – 20th September 2017

The walks take place on the 2nd, 3rd 4th and 5th Wednesday each month.  There will not be any evening walks on the First Wednesday.

New members should contact the leader prior to joining the group and show their membership card on their first walk.

We usually (though not always) meet in a car park, and as space is often limited  it would be helpful for walkers to share cars where possible.  Please note that occasionally there is a charge for parking.    Sometimes  parking will be in pub car parks.

The Grid Reference  (and where possible a post code) of the start of the walk is always given in the listing.    There is no need to contact the walk leader on the day, simply turn up at the starting point.   The walk will leave promptly at 10.00am so arrive early to allow time for putting on boots etc.  There will be a short rest about half way – you may wish to bring a drink or snack.

The walks vary in degrees of difficulty and are graded from 1 to 5.  For most walks  a shorter (3mile)  route is available.   Most walks are circular, starting and ending near a pub. The walks are designed to finish around lunchtime so that those who wish can have a pub lunch.

Please note:    Dogs on a short lead are welcome but need to be registered with  the leader.
