Chicago bridge. Experience needed – currently online
We play Chicago Bridge and aim to be more social than serious but players are expected to bid and play fluently to the Acol system, without help. Refreshments and bidding notes are included. There is no instructor, but set hands are occasionally used for revision and discussion.
During the Covid ‘Lockdown’ period the Village Hall cannot be used. The Group has kept in touch via weekly emails containing a “Set Hand” problem and other notices. More importantly, we have learned how to play Bridge on-line by using the “Bridge Base Online” program. This way we have been able to continue our Wednesday afternoon Bridge sessions from 2 pm to 4 pm with as many as four tables. Table allocations and partnerships are changed each week.
NEW MEMBERS WOULD BE MOST WELCOME DURING THIS PERIOD. WE CAN OFFER HELP AND GUIDANCE BY TELEPHONE TO AVOID ANY TECHNICAL PROBLEMS. THE BEST NEWS IS – IT’S ALL FREE OF CHARGE!
