Monthly Meeting

The next Monthly Meeting will be on Thursday, September 19th, in Christ Church, Old Market Avenue.

The speaker will be Dr Bob France and the title of his talk is “The celebrated Kitty Fisher

We will discover more about the famous courtesan Catherine Maria ‘Kitty’ Fisher and her rapid rise to celebrity status.  Why was she famous, and what was her legacy?

Refreshments from 13:30 to 14:15. The talk begins at 14:30.


Lunchtime Skittles

The next Skittles meeting will be on Monday, October 7th at 12.30 PM
As some people don’t like driving to Walderton in the dark, we’re trying lunchtimes instead.
Place: The Barley Mow at Walderton
Cost: £12 pp to include a buffet lunch.
We hope to finish by 3.30 PM

  • Saturday, January 11th 2020 at Hailsham: Music and Nature with Robert Carrington. Creatures with their actual sounds and how composers have created pieces based on these sounds or calls.
  • Saturday, February 8th, 2020 at Pulborough: Landscapes of South East England with Geoffrey Mead. Aspects of our rich regional landscapes.
