Coffee Morning

There will be a coffee morning next Wednesday, September 4th, from 10:00 to 12:00, in the Minerva Bar at the Chichester Festival Theatre. Mind you, I said Minerva Bar last time and it was actually in the Foyle, so please allow for human frailty  (not mine, in this instance).
Come along for cakes and refreshments, meetings and conversations with friends, and opportunities to talk to committee members.
In particular, if you would like to learn about Cryptic Crosswords, please come along and discuss possibilities for a new group (or two).
All in pleasant surroundings, and with convenient parking.

Groups News

Play Reading 1 and Play Reading 2

Now may be the time to revisit your favourite holiday venues abroad. Recapture Italy’s charm via Dario Fo’s
comedy set in a provincial town hall, or join in a racy French farce, tracking down the comic elements found
later in our British farces.
Fo and Labiche are just two of the foreign playwrights represented in our 11-month programme. We travel from Greece to Czechoslovakia, calling in at Spain, Italy, France. Russia, Norway and Germany on the way.
Come and join us on either the 2nd or the 4th Thursday afternoon each month.
If you are interested and would like to learn more, please contact the group leader or the Groups Team.

Current Affairs Journal Group

The Tuesday Current Affairs group now meets on the first Friday in the month at 11-00 AM, starting on September  6th at New Parks Centre, Chichester. We are selecting a challenging published article or single chapter of a book as the basis for each separate session. Thus, some reading is required prior to dialogue and argument! New members are welcome. Contact the group leader via the dropdown contact form on the group’s webpage for more information. Or contact the Groups Team.

Cryptic Crosswords – Beginners and Improvers

If you are an absolute beginner at cryptic crosswords and would like to learn how to do them, perhaps you should join a re-run of the recent successful Cryptic Crosswords for Beginners course.  If you attended that course or are reasonably competent but would like to learn more, we are also planning to run an intermediate course.   In either case, do come to the September Coffee Morning on Wednesday, 4th September, at 10:00, upstairs at the Minerva Theatre, and find out more.

If you are interested, but cannot attend, please contact the Groups Team.

Discussion Group 2

Discussion Group 2 is a lively group which discusses aspects of current affairs of their choosing.  It meets fortnightly on Tuesday afternoons in
Summersdale. There is a vacancy, so if you are interested in joining, please contact the group leader via the group’s webpage or via the Groups Team.
