A light look at Opera with Jennifer Parker-Lummis
Our first Face to Face gathering will be on September 16th at The Assembly Room, Chichester. We are returning to this venue, as their arrangements for distancing and registration give us the room we will need to ensure members feel safe. However, we have decided to not to have refreshments for this face to face meeting as this will avoid any mingling and close contact with others. We do plan to resume refreshments in due course.
Jennifer is a Soprano Opera singer and her talk is entitled “A light look at Opera”. Jennifer, is a graduate from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. As a free-lance singer Jennifer has written, directed and performed four successful one-woman shows. “A light look at Opera” is a pastiche that Jennifer has created, bringing us favourite songs and arias ranging from ‘Madame Butterfly’ to ‘The Phantom of The Opera’, punctuated with amusing anecdotes about their origin.
